A future collaboration with the First Baptist Church of Riverhead

Georgica Green Ventures, LLC was proudly selected by the First Baptist Church of Riverhead to partner on a transformative mixed-use development utilizing vacant land owned to be known as Northville Commons.

We endeavor to deliver three desperately needed and mutually beneficial uses to a historically underserved minority community: 1) 80 affordable apartments to provide housing to individuals and families being rapidly priced out of their current homes, 2) services and a preference in tenant selection for individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability and 3) an intergenerational Community Center and Community Service Facility that seeks to incorporate and coordinate the activities of a variety of non-profit and youth development organizations to serve both the residents and wider community in a truly unique way.

The proposed development of this site has been in progress since before 2014 when the project was declared regionally significant in a unanimous vote by members of the Long Island Regional Planning Council of Nassau and Suffolk. The site is situated 1.5 miles north of the Riverhead’s Main Street which is amid a substantial downtown revitalization plan. Northville Commons will be instrumental for Suffolk County’s ongoing efforts to address affordable housing needs and strengthen the Riverhead community by contributing to stronger markets and stable neighborhoods.
